SELECTED AS THE BEST PROJECT IN SENIOR DESIGN STUDIO | EXHIBITED + AWARDED FIRST PLACE IN THE "TRANSCEND TOMORROW" EXHIBIT AT THE RITTER ART GALLERY | AWARDED "BEST STUDIO PROEJCT" FROM AIA FORT LAUDERDALE + AIA MIAMI | AWARDED "BEST RENDER"
The concept for the proposed project, "CR8TIVE NXUS," revolves around the artist. The desired user group includes a wide variety of artists, from painters & sculptors to digital and artificial intelligence creators. The project is in Little River, Miami, the city's most innovative artistic enclave.
The design approach is to provide specific commercial, office, and residential spaces curated to provide optimum experiences for artists and art consumers. We systematically analyzed the spatial conditions that would be optimal for each artist type. These parameters included ceiling heights, lighting, and views, creating user-centered environments emphasizing the manifestation of creative ideas and culture.
The creative hubs are arranged with social areas between them called "design blocks." These are areas dedicated to releasing creative blocks, increasing the chance of serendipitous personal encounters, and stumbling upon creative ideas from other design disciplines.
By analyzing the needs and desires of each group of artists, we can design each space based on specific needs. We can then let the combination of spaces and the overall building form become an emergent process where creativity can strive.
